The infant room ratio is one adult to four infants.
Each infant has their own crib and cubby basket. Parents are responsible for supplies/food. A progress report of your
infant's activities such as walks, sensory play, naps, eating, and changing of diapers is provided to you at the end of each
day.
The toddler room has a ratio of one adult to seven
children. In addition to this ratio, we have an extra staff person to help from 10 am - 3pm to help in this room. Infants
can transition to the toddler room when they are over the age of one, walking, and developmentally ready. They stay in the
toddler room to approximately twenty-nine months old and potty trained before moving on to the preschool room. The toddlers
have their own covered, fenced-in play court. The toddlers also enjoy going for walks in our six-seat stroller.
Our preschool
room has a ratio of one adult per ten children. The classroom is divided into two separate groups. Each group (Cookie Monsters
or Bears) have ten children each. Both classes lunch, nap and have free time together. However, the classes are separated
for sit down activities, projects, and outside time. Both classes have weekly curriculums that are posted with learning goals
and objectives. The preschoolers go on field trips to the beach, zoo, aquarium, Children's Theater, and visit the nearby
assisted living programs. Teacher's Valerie, Julie and Elspeth are the preschool teachers and are a great team!
